Posting more. And commenting a lot more. And getting back in to the picspamming groove. These are my new year resolutions. And managing to do all of that while at the same time excelling at my job, and moving in to other areas thus ensuring that I am an invaluable and flexible employee. While also coming up with a new job for the summer that doesn't involve taking a step back in to the land of sales. Those are also my new year resolutions. Ugh. LIFE. Stop getting in the way of the internet!
Christmas was really nice. When I was away at school I used to be super jealous of my brothers who still lived at home. I really liked my own awesome carefree university student life, but they were still a family and got to share in all these experiences that I wasn't around for. So even though it's pretty uncool to be living with my mom at this point in my life, I really appreciate this time we're getting to spend together. I know it's morbid, but there's this part of me that thinks about how one day she isn't going to be here any more, and how NOW is the time to be in her life and try to let her know she's loved.
Also I cashed in on boxing day sales for some awesome new clothes, and got loads of new tv from my brothers who didn't know what else to get me. *g* So, Christmas was good. If only it could have somehow not ended.
Anyway, I just wanted to post again, and say hi, and wish you all a belated super happy holidays. ( And to post the random Dean Winchester screencap currently making me salivate the most: )

1. Livejournal! *smishes you all*. I hope everyone's doing well. I'm finding that I'm a complete failure at balancing fandom and real life the minute real life gets even vaguely busy. Which makes me sad. I don't know. I GOTTA FIGURE THIS OUT. I haven't even bothered turning my computer on most days this week.
2. Thank you to everyone who said crazy nice things to me at the Christmas meme. That day ended up being pretty awful, and those comments were the thing only thing to save it. *smishes you all again*
3. Because I feel bad for emo-ing about it and then not updating on the situation: the little dog is doing good. He's getting so old now that every little ailment is terrifying, but it looks like we dodged another scare.
4. I can has Buffy! My Buffy box set arrived last week. Season three, om nom nom. Unfortunately, IT'S FULL SCREEN. Full. Screen. Not cool, Whedon. Seriously. I'm trying not to be too broken-hearted about that, because owning all of Buffy for a ridiculously low price is definitely great, but I would not have bought it had I known about the full screen issue.
5. Is this too magenta/purple/pink?. At home it looks just right, but at work it looks way too pinky.
6. Lee Pace! ( Here's that picspam I meant to post last week. With the arms. And the shoulder freckles. And the eyeliner. And the entire costume in general. )
Caps are here. I didn't have time to cap the whole thing, but I got a fair amount of it. But don't look if you haven't seen the movie yet! I feel very strongly about not being spoiled for this one, 'kay? Okay. Time to catch up on days worth of flist. And HIMYM!
ETA: I'm trying to put together a late Christmas list, but there aren't actually that many things I want. I already know I got S3 of Supernatural (!!!). Other than that, I mean, how do I explain to my family what a "convention" is, and why they should pool together a solid grand to send me to one in Chicago next year? You just don't, that's how.

The boy working the overnight shift at the other location across campus has the smoothest, brightest boy voice ever. I'm getting flustered just TALKING to him. This is so embarrassing. At least across the phone he can't see me blush. BOYS.

Just finished watching The Fall. There are so many things to say about that movie (!!!), but I might only just have time for a picspam dedicated to the freckles on Lee Pace's shoulders. There should be poems about those freckles. More TIME. I needs it.

My puppy is sick. On and off throughout the night I'd get busy and forget, then remember and feel ill and just WANT TO GET HOME. I can't wait until 7am when it's early enough to call and see how he did through the night. He has the saddest little choking cough whenever he barks or gets overexcited. I really hope it's just a throat and ear infection, but apparently he was so bad yesterday morning he would scream if you touched his head or hugged him. And, god, he's such a stubborn little ball of fur! Late afternoon he insists on sitting right by the cold door on the cold floor even though his warm bed is RIGHT THERE. He little nose gets so frozen I have to force him under a blanket with me and crank the heat, but he's a little bit INTENSE about my mom, and nothing but right in front of the door will do. Sometimes it's really frustrating to not be able to sit the little dude down and RATIONALIZE WITH HIM.
He's just this small, hilarious, ridiculous creature and I'm really terrified of losing him.
I don't know, just needed to say that to someone somehwere.

1. Hi, LJ! Hi! All I've been doing lately is working and sleeping. It's a good thing I enjoy work right now or that'd be even more depressing than it already inherently is.
2. Working on a new Dean picspam which will either be EPIC or one of those picspams with so many pictures your eyes cross the minute you look at it. Speaking of which, can anyone tell me in which episode Dean tells Sam he admires the way Sam does his own thing and stands up to John? Is it the "I hope your apple pie is friggin' worth it!" episode?

1. Does anybody know how it would work if I ordered this from the American store? Could I just possibly get stuck with customs fees? Because, damn, all of Buffy for $70? Normally when it comes to frivolous purchases I'm debilitated by guilt, but I wouldn't even think twice about that. And I'm guessing it's today only? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, AMAZON.CA?

1. I did a small friends cut. People I didn't seem to be talking to that much, or journals I didn't read very much, or journal that weren't updated very often. That sort of thing. I'm going to have even less fannish time for the next few months, so I'm trying to cut back where I can.

Sam Winchester killed my computer monitor. One minute I'm oogling his rolled up sleeves, the next KABLAM. Electrical sparking and images wigging out. It was a long time coming. Sam just pushed it over the edge.
I've been putting off buying a new one for ages now because I'm not really fond of LCD monitors. I hate the way the image is less visible from certain angles, and many of the ones I've seen look pixelated. I can't handle pixelated! But it looks like I no longer have a choice.
Does anyone have any recommendations? A monitor you're really happy with? Any brands or specification I should seek out or avoid like the plague? I tend to over-think big money decisions, but, man, I so don't want to go without my computer when there is major scary show picspamming to be done.

3. Is anyone else watching Billable Hours? LOVE THAT SHOW. I noticed it on Global the other night, so I'm guessing the Showcase ratings must have been good. Though I really can't imagine that show on Global sans swearing.
