1. Life seems to be smacking a lot of us around right now. I don't always know what to say to serious posts, as my strategy for seriousness in real life mostly involves denial and inappropriate humor. But I wanted to make a blanket I am sometimes dumbfounded by how much I adore you guys statement. Even when the news isn't good, and all I can manage is silence or awkward virtual hugs, I'm always glad to know where you all are at.

2. If you can't tell, I'm having a schmoopy day. One of those ones that involve lots of random tearing up and feeling sad. At first I had no idea why (well, some idea why), but then I remembered it was That Time and had a good chuckle. Stupid body. I never 100% believed how much a chemical imbalance could alter a persons mood until I went on birth control pills and went through that whole adjustment period wherein I was a RAGING HARBINGER OF DOOM TO ALL AROUND ME. I still remember turning to my boyfriend at the time, all, "I'm snapping at everybody, and I feel not like myself, and I think I might cry now!". And he was all, "there, there, honey. It's just the drugs". Aw, he was a good boyfriend sometimes. Too bad after five years we had to do that whole "I still love you and you still love me, but we also drive each other nuts, so lets move to separate provinces and never talk to each other ever again" thing. LIFE IS DUMB SOMETIMES. That's my big epiphany of the day.

3. Fandom question: at what point in season seven of BtVS did they know the show wasn't coming back? I always thought they knew right from the start, since it was SMG that ended it and not a nasty network cancellation, but if someone could confirm or deny that I'd appreciate it. (Word is the answer to that question will spoil me for the finale, so I'll ask again later) I'm half way through now (I'd heard so many bad things about it, but I'm actually solidly enjoying it. Plus, ANDREW!!!), and experiencing severe don't-want-it-to-end-itus, just because that's how I roll. Every time they play a bit of the Chosen theme I become a sniffling tearful mess. I bet that song makes all the songs on all the other television scores weep with envy.

4. Just in case some people haven't seen this yet. SLAP BET COUNTDOWN. GREATEST EVER. In my head Marshall is the one who made that website AND HE IS EVEN MORE EXCITED ABOUT IT THAN I AM, WHICH IS A LOT. If you have no idea what I'm talking about this is a fantastic crash course in the glory of HIMYM/slapping.

5. Every time I see a fan encounter with the Winchesters image I LOSE IT over new clothes. I wasn't sure I was going to keep up with that, but now I'm thinking for sure this obsession needs to continue having an outlet. New Dean jacket! New Sammy plaid! But the brown hoodie remains (I wasn't sure if at some point they might phase it out). OH, OH, OH! I'm just so excited for a whole new season of clothes! And a whole new season of soundtrack! And 22 new episodes worth of Dean's wacky logic and Sam's bitchy come backs!

6. Here's some random episode stills I've mucked around with. Complete with obnoxious cropping (the free transform tool is so much fun!), because I'm always too distracted by necks and lips to pay attention to ~*~composition~*~.

This whole thing is really just an excuse to post images from the gorgeous muddy hotel room scene. I swear all that muck just makes Dean EVEN PRETTIER. Only slightly different from the previous one, but check out that eyelash shadow! LOL, FACE. This one is my favourite. It's all downhill from here. I like cropping Sam so that the hair falling over his face is emphasized. Bro grabs! Sometimes oh so inappropriately hot. Lookit how big Sammy's hands are! I love this still so much. The subtitle to this picspam is definitely PRETTY WHEN MUDDY. This one's crap quality, but the part where THE FLASHLIGHT IS IN HIS MOUTH cancels that out. Way to sprawl out all over those stairs, Jared. Asdfvgbhnjmk. So to the casual observer it might look like Dean's been eating brains, but all I see is RED IS PRETTY and NECK. Flashlight porn! This has been one of my favourite shots of Sam for a long long time. That boys hair is like the fourth lead. This is totally my favourite type of cropping right here. No offense to Jared's face. *g* Scrunchy nose! He was probably going for evil but I think he hit much closer to ADORABLE IN THE FACE. LOVE THIS SHOT. DEEAAAN! Oh, Dean-o. Blurry Sam! Look at that snarl! Lip acting, bb. This one's probably too sharp, but sometimes it's fun to be able to see people's pores. Oh hi, cheek bones.
