1. Hope everyone had a good holiday! Raise your hand if you're experiencing post-Christmas funk / New Years life crisis. Ug. It's such a cliche I'm EMBARRASSED, but I guess it's a cliche for a reason, right?

2. My Christmas was really pretty nice. A lot of genuinely good moments along with a few undeniable stinkers and a whole lot of moments we'll all play up as nicer than they really were for the sake of the holiday memory. But mostly really good. Except for the part where my mom went way over-board and bought me a freakin' ipod. Which, yes, I've always wanted one, yada yada they're so pretty, but I wish she'd waited to splurge on that after a less financially crippling year. It just feels so hilariously and ridiculously nonessential right now. PLUS, I AM SO GUILT PRONE. But there's no way she's taking it back, so I really need to stop stressing about the price tag and open the sucker. Which leads to the next part of this post.

3. iPod question! Maybe I'm just unreasonably paranoid after seeing so many dead ipod posts on LJ, but I get the impression these puppies don't last all that long. So, poll:

Right? RIGHT? They're peeing all over brunches, fancy dinners, AND musicals.

5. Also, also, I ended up at Best Buy during their boxing week sale (normally I'm the stay the hell away from stores after Christmas type) and picked up Season 3 of Angel for 12 bucks! !!!!!!!!!1 Now THERE'S a splurge I can get behind. I don't even think it counts as a splurge. I'm not even sure it counts as spending money. And, look, look! Wesley in his man jacket with the collar popped:
